Axiom lends its supports to Nortech Cares initiative

Last week saw leading North-East based engineering specialists deliver outstanding support to ensure the success of a local charity event led by an associated member of the Tees Engineering Network (TEN).

Axiom Engineering Associates Ltd were keen to support the new relationship with local charity, Daisy Chain as part of the corporate social responsibility initiative (CSR) delivered by Wynyard based engineering service provider, Nortech Group. With the total proceeds raised to be donated to the local charity, it was vital that this year’s Nortech Annual Charity Golf Day and Shoot was a success.

Following introductions given by Nortech Managing Director Bryan Bunn at Billingham Golf Club, the day unfolded with both charity golf competitions and offsite shooting. Participants from a range of local organisations were keen to demonstrate their skills but primarily, to raise funds for the chosen charity.

Dr René A S Hoyle, Principal Materials & Corrosion Engineer and Director at Axiom said, “We were delighted to support a fellow TEN member with an event in support of a local charity which is a vital resource to the local community. Without the ongoing financial funding delivered by local businesses, the charity could not continue with the important work that they provide. As TEN members, we are only too aware that effective collaboration between organisations leads to the championing of the area’s strong engineering capabilities and encourages local talent and investment in the community.”

He added, “This event clearly demonstrates the commitment of both Axiom and Nortech to support the local community by fundraising in this manner and Axiom’s relationship to other organisations to combine their efforts to support a mutual cause.”

Further events this year are planned by Nortech Group with Axiom keen again to be involved whilst also pursuing their own CSR initiatives within the North-East region.
