Asset integrity specialists, Axiom Engineering Associates were delighted to welcome guests at a ceremony to mark the official opening of their latest office in Scotland on 23rd October 2019.
The new office at Earls Court, Grangemouth is situated within the heart of a buoyant local Process sector providing localisation to serve Axiom’s increasing client base across the Central Belt of Scotland.
This planned expansion coincides with the appointment of Regional Manager, Kevin Murray, who joined the business in June to focus on business development and delivery in Scotland.
Axiom directors, Adam Potter and Rob Johnson were joined by guests from a range of industry backgrounds on the day of the official launch. Falkirk Council officials from the Growth and Investment Unit were joined by the Council’s Leader of Administration, Councillor Cecil Meiklejohn who declared the office officially open. Representation from Axiom’s Scottish-based clients were also present. Presentations delivered by both Axiom and Falkirk Council were then followed by a productive networking lunch at the new premises.
Kevin Murray said, “I am very proud to be part of the official opening of Axiom’s new office in Grangemouth. This has been a great milestone for the business and to share this with key stakeholders from industry and the local economy is very satisfying, making for an enjoyable day. With these premises now open, I look forward to hosting more local clients and partners to discuss collaboration to ensure that we can continue to make a positive difference to the local Process sector through our new regional offering.
We have listened to our clients in taking the decision to make this move and will continue to be a responsive, client-focused organisation set up to fully meet evolving needs of the sector. At such a time of great investment in the local infrastructure in and around Grangemouth and Falkirk, there is no better time or place for us to be making this move. It is great to be open for business in Scotland and as well as being part of an exciting time for Grangemouth, we are also ideally located for the further development of our business nationally, across multiple industry sectors.”
Adam Potter, Axiom’s Managing Director added, “There are so many people we would like to thank that have been so important in our continued success. We have come a long way since we started back in 2003 and would like to extend my sincerest thanks to all of the Axiom staff who have worked extremely hard to get us where we are today. Our clients have become our advocates and we would like to thank them for their ongoing trust in Axiom. Finally, I’d like to thank all of our guests who were able to share this significant day with Axiom.
We have grown to more than 50 employees and continue to be ambitious. Opening a Scotland office underlines our commitment in providing localised support to our Scotland-based clients and potential job creation in the area. We are confident that as we continue to grow, investment in our systems and people will ensure that we continue to deliver integrity excellence”.
Falkirk Council leader, Councillor Meiklejohn concluded, “We are delighted that Axiom Engineering have chosen to locate their Scottish Regional office in Grangemouth which will create 8 high-value jobs in the 1st year. The Petrochemical industry is of national significance and Falkirk Council through the Growth Deal are focussing on developing the infrastructure to sustain future growth. This new investment sends out an extremely positive message about the attractiveness of the Falkirk area as a location to visit, live and work.”
Axiom has experienced continued steady growth over the last 16 years, operating globally from their Head Office in the Tees Valley with a further UK office planned for 2020.
